The MaxShine Wool Cutting Pad - Torsional Rubber Backed is an example of what a modern wool rotary cutting pad should be - aggressive without deep holograms, durable with a long life, and reasonably priced.

Featuring a heat-resistant foam interface and a torsional rubber backing, this pad is able to transfer more torque to the painted surface, providing more cutting power at lower temperatures.  The stiffer foam interface is more resistant to thermal breakdown and catastrophic failure (Tired of those blue pads blowing apart after a few cars?  Us, too.  These pads are more aggressive than those and finish down better, anyway.).

The torsional rubber backing mean you could use this with a Dual Action polisher, but it really works best with a rotary or forced-rotation polish.
